Features of Kiwi Ears Cadenza
- The Best Driver, Made Available for All. 10mm Beryllium diaphragm driver
- Custom designed 3D printed housing structure for Audiophile Sound Balance
- Natural sounding and free of fatigue, but still full of micro-details and full of air.
- 4-core Braided Copper Cable with a 3.5mm single-ended termination
The Cadenza is a single dynamic driver IEM utilizing a large 10mm Beryllium diaphragm driver. Beryllium diaphragm drivers are still considered the pinnacle of dynamic drivers in speakers, headphones, and earphones.
The diaphragms of dynamic drivers are the moving membranes that produce the sound driven by magnets within the driver. Thus, the thinner, lighter, and more stiff the membranes are, the faster responses the diaphragm can achieve, resulting in higher audio resolution and clarity across the frequency range.
Of all the materials utilized in the audio industry, Beryllium metal has the greatest tensile strength and surface tension, producing a premium sound often characterized by an incredibly powerful and responsive bass impact, rich mids, and crystal clear trebles.
Audiophile Sound Balance
The Cadenza has been acoustically tuned to produce a balanced sound signature characteristic of modern audiophile standards. This was achieved through a custom designed housing structure which was 3D printed to fit the 10mm Beryllium driver. The bass has been adjusted to retain the defining character of beryllium drivers, with resounding impact force and attack speed.
But with a quicker bass decay, the mids are able to remain natural and free of muddyness or bloat. The mids sound rich and lush, and incredibly detailed, thanks to the speed of the beryllium driver. The treble response reflects a Harman-reference standard style, with a natural curvature that sounds natural and free of fatigue, but still full of micro-details and full of air.
Detachable 3.5mm IEM Cable
The Cadenza features a 2-pin connector for use with a variety of cables. This allows customization of your IEM-cable combinations, as well as extends the longevity of the Cadenza. The Cadenza comes standard with a 4-core braided copper cable with a 3.5mm single-ended termination for use with most smartphones, computers, and audio devices.

Sound quality description
In this review, I use the standard eartips size L and drive it with the FiiO M15.
Kiwi Ears Cadenza has a balanced, near neutral sound signature.
Please see here for detailed reviews on sound quality.
Lows / Bass
The Kiwi Ears Cadenza's low frequencies reach quite deep.
It is sufficiently linear, weighty, and deep, and the thick, robust drum kicks are not short on gravitas. The weighty impact is palpable. Rumble is also generally at a level where one does not feel shortchanged.
The electric bass has sufficient depth and breadth, with a touch of blackness.
In general, the bass has enough volume and depth to satisfy bass enthusiasts.
Mids
The midrange is almost completely neutral. Texture is fairly accurate and near perfect, and transparency is of a satisfactory level, though it may sound slightly tilted toward warmth.
Contour and crunch are quite solid, and the midrange construction sounds solid enough. The electric guitars are well colored and sound glossy and colorful. However, perhaps because the definition is a bit low, the bite of the guitar is slightly less pronounced, and you may feel that the bite of the phrases is not as sharp as it should be.
Vocals also tend to sound plump, and the midrange ambience is a bit fuzzy in terms of separation, resulting in an overall harmonic sound. Airiness is also quite lacking, and the midrange tends to be thicker.
Highs / Treble
The high frequencies of the Kiwi Ears Cadenza are tuned to roll off nicely with a speaker-like sense of forward localization, but they lack energy compared to typical standards. For many, therefore, there is a lack of luminance at the correct volume, causing a slight difficulty in the sense of detail.
Hi-hat coloration is subdued or feeling of warmth, sounding somewhat close to the background with a lack of presence.
Extensibility is lacking. As a result, the atmosphere lacks exhilaration, has a sense of ceiling, and is generally somewhat sweet.
It is more than safe enough for those who are sensitive to high frequencies, and is highly recommended for those who do not like sting or sharpness. People who tend to listen loudly may also prefer this level of high frequency. I am more of a safe-listening type of person and listen at less than the proper volume, so this high frequency is a bit insufficient for me.
