Features of Tri Star River
- N52 strong magnet system as driver
- 10MM Flagship Beryllium + 6MM Metal Titanium Diaphragm
- 5N Oxygen-free copper plated with silver wire
- Integrated Switch Crossover
- German 3D printing resin
- Electronic crossover tuning switches
10MM flagship beryllium Diaphragm
Japan imported voice coil copper wire. Through careful R&D, Star River adopted new Beryllium dynamic driver to present unique timbre of Beryllium metal diaphragm and rich details.
6MM metal titanium diaphragm
Customized high-frequency driver. To maintain similar metal timbre of Beryllium and overall performance of the whole earphone driver, TRI customized a 6mm metal Titanium diaphragm to ensure more excellent high-frequency performance for Star River.
Dual dynamics
Strong Driving Effect adopted N52 strong magnet as driver. Star River has a magnetic flux over 1 Tesla to provide huge power.
A more balanced acoustic effect
Precision acoustic conduit integrated switch crossover, through parallel connection of precision conduit, dual dynamic drivers achieved the combination of acoustic cavities. Benefited from three hole independent pressure equalization design, a more balanced acoustic effect can be realized. Acoustic performance can be stably ensured under different tuning modes.
Precision dual switches support four tuning modes
Star River adopted precision electronic crossover tuning switches. Four kinds of different styles can be achieved through enhancement effect to different units. Users can adjust based on personal preference.
More comfortable wearing experience - Professional Human Ear Big Data Model Multi-dimensional Pressure Equalization Design
Star River has applied professional big data model and achieved multi-dimensional pressure equalization design. This not only can provide comfortable wearing, but effectively avoid ear pressure problem caused by wearing posture or the shape of human ear.

Sound quality description
In this review, I use the standard eartips size L and drive it with the FiiO M15.
Tri Star River has a neutral sound signature.
Please see here for detailed reviews on sound quality.
Lows / Bass
The structure of the low frequency range itself is basically unchanged by the switch. Therefore, the low-frequency atmosphere itself does not change significantly, but its presence is probably more significant when switch 1 is set to ON and switch 2 is set to OFF. However, there is almost no difference with both switches off.
The bass drum has a tight feel, not bad weight, and plenty of impact. The rumble may be slightly lacking, but you won't feel shortchanged.
The electric bass is also sufficiently black and expansive.
Low frequencies are generally excellent in both quantity and quality, and the balance with the midrange is not bad.
Mids
At the OFF/OFF setting, Star River's midrange is fairly close to neutral and the texture is accurate.
The midrange has a fairly solid sense of construction, with overall solidity and separation, and the three-dimensionality of the song is accurate, with no lack of detail. The sound is close to typical studio tuning. The midrange is slightly forward leaning with any switch, but switch 2 increases the forward lean.
There is something like crossover distortion near the midrange with the 2DD hybrid, but it is quite low distortion and there is no lack of transparency.
This is a fairly excellent adjustment.
Highs / Treble
Tri Star River's high frequencies are well tuned for definition, although extension and linearity are a bit lacking.
Turning switch 2 off generally produces a more detailed and delicate sound. Localization also generally sounds better with switch 2 off.
The entire high frequency range is speaker-like with an awareness of forward localization and a smooth decay at the top.
Violins and woodwinds extend well above, and cymbal crashes don't feel too short on luminance, and are sufficiently delicate and fine-grained, but lack breadth.
Sound quality general comment
- Original Sound Fidelity: S-
- Recommendation: A+
- Personal preference: A+
Tri Star River is a fairly good choice considering its price. It can deliver near-neutral sound with high overall original fidelity, and while the audio specs are not outstanding, they are well above the price level and can compete with most higher-end models at higher price points.
Sound quality features
Pros
- Excellent original sound fidelity
- Heavy, deep bass
- Good detail
- Natural texture
- Well-expanded highs
- Good transparency
- Resolution above price
- Good build quality
- Speaker-like sound
Cons
- Lacks high frequency extension
- Switch 1 is of little use
General comment
Tri Star River is an in-ear monitor that offers a fairly good neutral sound in its price range. With massive bass and accurate texture, they are a superior choice over many high-end products because of their excellent level of resolution and clarity at a price point that is well above the price.
