TRN has featured a 10mm beryllium-plated dynamic driver on the ST5. This driver is made up of rare and rigid material offering smooth performance and ultimate durability. It’s highly durable and offers crisp, fast, and responsive performance for a natural sounding smooth tonality. This DD unit is supported by four high-performance balanced armature drivers(2x50060, 2x30095) for a high-resolution clarity throughout a wide frequency response band. The drivers here are arranged in a three-way frequency crossover, the DD unit delivers a punchy lower-end, two BA drivers(50060) are here for delivering exceptional midrange, and two BA drivers(30095) produce crisp treble frequencies. With professional tuning adjustments from TRN, the pair is being said to pack a powerful performance with ultimate clarity throughout the frequency band.
ST5 uses customized ear shells that are crafted using a high-precision 5-axis CNC machining process. The shells are made up of high-quality aerospace-grade magnesium alloy material. Each ear shell is carefully hand-finished to a perfect look, and an ergonomic shape. TRN has treated the shells with multi-layer ceramic coating for a solid build and a charming finish. TRN has also implemented an air vent at the side of the shells that help in managing the airflow within the cavity and present a cleaner sound.
ST-5 includes a high-purity silver-plated OFC cable with a modular termination plug system. It uses standard 2-pin connectors for easy connection with the IEMs. The termination can be easily swapped between 3.5mm, 2.5mm, and 4.4mm plugs that are included in the package.
