In this issue, we will focus on the DUNU Studio SA3. DUNU is an audio brand from Taiwan with a manufacturing base in China, known for its high-quality IEM products. The latest addition to the DUNU lineup is the "Studio" series, and the SA3 is the first entry-level model in the series.
Basic specifications
- Frequency responce: 5hz-40kHz
- Impedance: 13Ω
- Sensitivity: 112dB
- Cable connector: 0.78mm 2pin
Unboxing
This is an excellent package at this price point. It comes with many accessories and a gorgeous leather carrying case.
The build quality of the body is high, and it is carefully hand-painted and has a very stylish and cool design. The design is a bit different from the rugged image of the previous DUNU products, with a pop, stylish and youthful look.
Fit
This is a universal IEM type and fits in the ear very well. They are slightly thicker and larger, but they probably won't be difficult to fit in small ears.

In terms of sound signature, when viewed as a whole, it's almost flat, with a shape that can be described as slightly U-shaped. There's a good sense of focus in the midrange, with vocals sounding gentle, sweet and clean, but it's easy for some people to hear the sound clustered a bit in the midrange.
There is very little emphasis in the low frequencies and there is a sense of perspective, with the sound falling flat as it is from the midrange. Layering is good and contours sound clean, but it lacks a bit of weight and may be a bit lacking in terms of depth. It sounds a bit bright and monitored low end. Moderately warm, but not very hot. It may be a little muddy in the lower midrange, but the midrange is clear enough for most songs.
The midrange has a natural warmth to it, almost neutral. The vocals come to the fore and sound lively with just the right amount of nuance, but the body is moderate or slightly less and slightly slimmer and rather clean. The midrange sounds tend to be slightly dry, and the acoustic guitar and piano are rather tight. The snare is also crisp and easy to hear with an emphasis on snappiness.
There is a quietness in the upper midrange and the area around the vocals is fairly clean. Instrumental sounds line up behind the vocals and sound with a sense of depth. There is an emphasis on the metallic sheen, and the instrumental sounds have a bit of hard emphasis and sparkle to the contours of the piano and other instruments, but they are well tuned in the direction of high vocal priority, so the vocals don't get too much of a rush and muddle into the instrumental sounds.
Female vocals sound rather high in the overall sound field, so you may not feel the spatial height of the sound, but you can feel the depth and width. Also, the calming of the ultra-high frequencies gives a sweetness to the midrange sound. The sound image in the midrange is clear and distinct, with a slightly thicker outline. It is a typical DUNU monitor sound that combines naturalness and clarity at an affordable price. The midrange assembly in particular is good and structured.
Recording signature
Please refer to the following for the basic principles of recording signatures and how to enjoy them.
The recording signature is posted for advisory. Free sound field adjustment is added. The source is FiiO M15 and the gain is high. The eartips used are the "Standard silicon (Blue) S size".
The music used in the recording signature is from the game maker Nippon Falcom, which I love.

DUNU's new series is very good quality, both in build quality and sound quality, and they look very well made. I was captivated by the eye-popping blue ear shells that resemble lapis lazuli. The sound quality is close to neutral, especially in the midrange, and the solid, thick sound sounds are appropriately tight and polite, making them an attractive choice for a vocal earphone.
