Topping has trusted the newest generation of AKM DAC chips for the latest DX1. They have featured a new AK4493S DAC chip that is an upgrade to the classic AK4493 DAC from AKM technologies. It’s a 32-Bit DAC that benefits from AKM’s Velvet Sound Technology delivering a silky smooth sound experience. This premium DAC chip is supported by XMOS XU208, a high-performance 8-core USB receiver that enables high-resolution 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 signals via USB connection.
The best part is, that you don’t need any additional power adapter for the DX1. It takes power input directly from the connected source device. In order to reduce the noise introduced by the USB Power, Topping has designed a Discrete LNRD circuit(low noise reference driver). It filters out the noise and interference of USB 5V power and provides a clean and stable power supply to the device.
