HiBy R5 Gen 2

Over the years, HiBy has developed itself as a premium quality high-fidelity audio gear manufacturer. They develop and market some of the top-selling DAPs in the market today with successful products available across all the different segments like the Entry-level segment has the R3 Pro, the mid-fi level had the R5 series of DAPs, the high-fi level has the RS6, R6, and we just can’t forget the ultimate top-tier flagship R8. The ES9219C is a latest-generation 32-Bit DAC that is capable of delivering exceptional performance with ultra-low THN distortion and high SNR ratings.

Class A Headphone Amplification

The latest HiBy R5 Gen 2 features a fully discrete class-A headphone amplification with it. The class A amplification sounds cleaner and more controlled than any other headphone amplification technology. The R5 Gen 2 has a discrete output stage, that produces ample current output power and control over variable loads. The R5 Gen 2 has got a powerful amplification of up to 150mW through the single-ended port and up to 475mW through the balanced headphone output. These numbers are easy enough to power demanding headphones with ease.

High-Res Decoding Like Never Before

The previous R5 DAPs like the OG R5 or the R5 Saber supported up to 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 file decodings. The latest R5 Gen2 supports native DSD256, PCM 32-bit/768kHz decoding. It even has full 16x MQA decoding. Its a huge upgrade over the previous two R5 Audio players bringing us top-quality Hi-Res audio decoding in a compact form factor.

Added 2.5mm Balanced Headphone Output

Previously the R5 series of digital audio players had the 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone output ports. But with the latest R5 Gen 2 HiBy is bringing back the famous 2.5mm balanced headphone jack too. So, now the R5 Gen 2 features 3 headphone sockets, 3.5mm SE, 4.4mm Bal, and 2.5mm Bal.
