KZ has designed a brand new 13.2mm planar magnetic driver for the PR1 IEMs. The driver here has a dual-cavity structure and adopts an ultra-thin silver-plated diaphragm coil. KZ has equipped the driver with N55 based double-sided magnetic circuit on the driver that produces a powerful magnetic flux. KZ assures this driver produces fast transients, rich sound, and ultra-low distortion. Both the PR1 Balanced and PR1 HiFi edition uses the same planar driver and promises an amazing listening experience for the users.
The PR1 Balanced and PR1 HiFi differ in two things, firstly the tuning. Balanced brings an engaging sound with increased bass while the HiFi edition packs more details and gives better resolution. Secondly, the PR1 Balanced edition has Grey aluminum face covers with black resin cavities while the PR1 HiFi edition has silver aluminum face covers and an electroplated cavity structure. Not to mention, both sets have absolutely brilliant built with hollowed-out aluminum face covers. In order to get a comfortable wearing experience for most users, KZ has designed the cavities in an ergonomic shape and with lightweight aesthetics.
KZ PR1 includes a silver-plated OFC(Oxygen-Free Copper) stock cable that brings efficient signal transmission. The cable has standard 0.75mm two-pin connectors and a 3.5mm termination.
