Topping is pleased to announce the release of the Topping DX3 Pro+, an upgrade of the Topping DX3 Pro, a multifunctional DAC/AMP that has been well received by the market. The Topping DX3 Pro+ can be used not only as a stand-alone DAC, but also as a preamplifier, with Optical, Coaxial USB, and Bluetooth inputs. It also has a headphone jack, so it can be used as a DAC/AMP for headphones.
High sound quality and high output power realized by high quality chips and circuits
The DX3 Pro+ uses an ES9038QM decoding chip and a second-generation 8-core XMOS XU208 USB input. the NFCA circuitry in the DX3 Pro+ has been optimized for improved performance, delivering ultra-low noise, ultra-low distortion, and significantly reduced THD+N compared to conventional LDACs. By significantly reducing the THD+N, it achieves higher output power while maintaining the same functionality.
The USB input supports up to 32bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512 native, and the DX3Pro+ also features broad compatibility with Windows 10, MAC, Linux, iOS and Android for plug and play. High-end ASIO applications are also supported, and the DX3 Pro+ offers driver-free connectivity to MAC and Win10 with customized Thesycon ASIO drivers.
The backbone of the audio chain with a variety of output modes
The DX3 Pro+ has four output modes: headphone amp, headphone amp + line out, DAC, and preamp.
Topping has optimized the Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier (NFCA) circuitry in the DX3 Pro+ to provide superior AC/DC performance. This allows the DX3 Pro+ to handle everything from highly sensitive and delicate IEMs to high-impedance type headphones that require massive amounts of power. In addition, two gain settings are available to provide the best sound quality for your headphones.
Perfect symmetry with PA3S
The DX3 Pro+ and Topping's PA3s power amplifiers are spatially dimensionally aligned and match very well when stacked; when used with the DX3 Pro+, the PA3s' TRS balanced inputs can be used to input other audio sources. Outputs are 80W x 2@4Q, 10% THD+N and 65W x 2@4Q, 1% THD+N.
