This article is a translation of the following Japanese article.
This time we will focus on BQEYZ Spring 2. BQEYZ (unknown how to read it. When I check an English-speaking youtube, it seems to be read as "Bee Que E Wai Zee" in the alphabet.) is an audio brand from China. For more information about the brand, see HiFiGO's Spring 2 review article.
Spring 2 is the latest earphone from BQEYZ and is an upgraded version of Spring 1. Spring 1 may not be so famous in Japan, but it has been highly evaluated by the Western audio community and has become a standard model in the $100 range.
Basic specifications
- Frequency responce: 7hz-40kHz
- Impedance: 32Ω
- Sensitivity: 110dB
- Cable connector: 0.78mm 2pin
Unboxing
The packaging of the earphones is above the standard for this price range and may be rather luxurious. The build quality of the main unit fully meets the price range standard, and it has a high-class feeling, with a premium feel and stylish colors.
Fit
The fit is good. It's a metal model, but it's aluminum alloy, so it's light and doesn't feel like a burden. The housing is not too big and fits in the ears very well.

In terms of sound signature, the overall shape is a gentle U shape that is almost flat. It is easy to be rather aware of the air in the high frequencies and the lush midrange sounds neatly and clean.
The low frequency range extends rather flat to deep and has a good outlook, but the weight is not emphasized and there's not much heat. It's rather monitored, but there's a slight sense of warmth and slight swelling, so it's a bit warmer to the bottom of the midrange, which is about the temperature of moderate.
However, when you come to the band where the vocals and guitars are, the space is pretty clean. Vocal focus is pretty good, and you can enjoy a slightly woozy, sweet tone to your voice. Consonants are a bit sharp, especially in the sah line, which is a bit tight, but probably not gratingly unpleasant for most people. The breath is extended and crisp. Nuances are good, and the female vocals sound lively and a bit young. The midrange is well colored and lush sounding, and there is a soft, watery, fullness to the electric guitar edges and the sheen of the piano notes. The midrange clarity is very good, and the instrumental sounds are a little stiff in their contours, but they are crisp, and the snare sounds pretty good in its attack and has plenty of power.
The calming of the mid-high frequency range prevents peaks in the midrange, and despite the fine detail and delicacy of the sound, there is no sharpness in the instrumental sound, and the hi-hat is rather silky and clear with a sense of transparency. The space is bright enough, with an excellent sense of perspective, and the soundstage seems wide.
The bass range is not a deep-digging, but the range is good, the soundstage is well-defined, and it's an excellent vocal phone, with just the right amount of warmth and fullness, yet with very good detail. In particular, those who like a crisp, clear sound with good contouring and a solid, well-colored sound image and no sense of distortion will find it hard to believe that they are in the $100 range. The piezo drivers honestly contribute to the clarity of the space and are well tuned.
However, the contour of the sound is strong and the feeling of being pushed out is strong, so you may easily get tired of listening to it than you expected. If you think the sound is a little harsh, you may get a more stable feeling of listening comfort by using the attached foam type.

Please refer to the following for the basic principles of recording signatures and how to enjoy them.
The recording signature is posted for advisory. Free sound field adjustment is added. The source is FiiO M15 and the gain setting is high. The eartips used are the "Reference S size".
The music used in the recording signature is from the game maker Nippon Falcom, which I love.

Frankly speaking, the quality is high in terms of build quality and sound quality, and it is an earphone with a very high degree of perfection for the under $200 range. This is a clear and distinct sound, so I recommend these earphones to people who want to listen to the clarity of the sound image, and in EDM, this is the model that lets you hear the particle of the digital sound to the fullest. The impression is that the contour is a little clearer and the transient sound is stronger, and it is easy to sound digital, but this may be a drawback.
